French Euromillions Winner Collect Winnings
The to now unknown frenchman has come forward to collect his winnings according to the french national lottery
After a full month waiting the French winner of a massive €162million has finally come forward to collect his cheque. If you recall exactly 30 days ago the second biggest jackpot win was confirmed to belong to someone in France, however with nobody stepping forward the French press had gone into a frenzy in their attempts to track the winner down.
At Euromillions.com we are delighted to announce that the French man has come forward and collected his winnings from Française des jeux on the 13th October. The winner has chosen to remain anonymous but we can reveal him to be of the Calvados region in France. According to Brigitte Roth, head of Française des jeux, the man is a “Loyal and regular player”.
In a short interview with Française des jeux, the Frenchman speaks of being extremely happy to have won the €162million. To the joy of the French public the man specifies that he wants to keep as much of the money in France as possible by investing in French real estate projects with which to stimulate the French economy. Such patriotism in light of such a huge cash windfall is surely striking.
By finally claiming a slip of paper that cost him 2 euros, this man has entered into the top 250 richest people of France. His win of €162,256,622 also makes him the second biggest Euromillions winner ever just behind Colin and Christine Weir who took home €185 million last July.
