Many millions of people play the Euromillions lottery on Tuesdays and Fridays every week, and every draw millions of people match some numbers to win a fair amount of money. However of the millions of winners who have won a few Euros, and the hundreds of thousands who have won something more substantial, there are under 20 people who since the game's humble beginnings in 2004 have won exorbitant amounts of cash. The biggest Euromillions winners have managed to bag themselves incredible jackpots of over €100 million. The tickets have been attributed to different Euromillions nations, and while some of the players opted to come forward and make their win public, many had a different sense and preferred to stay anonymous. This article will list the top prize amounts won by 1 individual.

The largest Euromillions Winner to date is Colin Weir and his wife Christine. The couple are from the small village of Largs in Scotland and their massive win totalled €185 million or £161m! Their ticket won on the 12th July 2011 and since then some have gotten close but nobody has managed to win more. In fact after their prize was one the Euromillions organisers capped the total rollover amount! The next single biggest winner was an anoymous French ticket holder on 13th September 2011 who won €162,256,622.

The original high roller of the Euromillions lottery however is Irish born Dolores McNamara from Garryowen, Limerick. This lucky lady claimed €115 million on the 4th August 2005. At the time of her win she was supporting 6 children on the wage of a cleaner, truly a heartwarming story.
