Last Friday the 30th of August was lucky for not one, but two Euromillions players, who suceeded in matching all 5 main numbers and two lucky stars. Thus, their share of the £21,885,637 (€25,642,223) jackpot amounts to a staggering £10,942,818.50 (€12,821,111.50) each. In addition to the exciting first prize win, other lottery hopefuls bagged a generous £81,674.50 (€122,794.80) and £23,594.80 (€35,474.00) in the second and third tiers resepectively, amongst others. The jackpot winners have yet to step forward however, we do know that one ticket was purchased in France and the other in Portugal. We will keep you updated as details emerge.
This makes it the 6th Euromillions first prize landed by Portugal this 2013, and the 7th jackpot win this year for the very fortunate French players whose accumulated winnings now correspond to a staggering €290, 410, 737.50 this 2013 alone. Consisting of the 67th French jackpot to date since the beginnings of the Euromillions lottery in 2004, France still occupies pride of place as the Euromilions luckiest country.
