French Winner Claims Prize
One of Friday's quintuple rollover jackpot winners has come forward to validate his ticket and claim his riches.
The lucky French winner of half of Friday's jackpot is confirmed to be of the Calvados region in France. The €36,556,782 prize makes this ticket holder the 12th biggest Euromillions prize winner in France. If the Calvados region rings a bell to you it's possibly because on the 13th of September 2011 there was a Euromillions winner of €162,256,622 there, this winner however calmly waited almost a month before stepping forward.
Another big French winner who holds a ticket worth €27,094,319 from the draw on December 2nd has still to come forward! The player has less than 24 days to claim this enormous cash sum. The broker who sold the ticket, Patrice Goeury has said "It may be a casual player who has not checked his schedule”, “Or a very wise winner, who for tax reasons or organization prefers to take the time to receive his winnings”.
The Spanish winner who has yet to validate his ticket joins another lucky Spanish Euromillions winner, who on the 18th December 2011 was holding a ticket worth €46 million. Make no mistake December was an excellent month for the Euromillions in both France and Spain and we hope to have more details about the latest two winners soon.
Meanwhile in the UK the hunt is on for a Euromillions ticket holder in Wealdon, England. A ticket puchased there for the draw on the 25th November has matched the UK Millionaire Raffle code VVT537436 but the winner has yet to claim their £1,000,000 -€1,210,811. A spokesman for UK lottery organisers Camelot have issued this statement, “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life. Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa.”
With huge cash prizes going unclaimed and many more finding their way into the bank accounts of lucky Euromillions entrants our attention turns to the €15,000,000 up for grabs in this Tuesday's draw. Have you got your ticket yet?
